28 Days in Berlin is a good read that will keep you entertained and wondering how the pair will get out of the rabbit hole they have fallen into.

Noelle Branch

Strobel’s novel keeps you on the edge of your seat with intrigue, thrilling action and despair for those living through the carnage. It is well researched, superbly written with passion and almost impossible to put down. The main characters, introduced in her first book 28 Days in Berlin, are complex individuals challenged by the experiences they are thrown into and struggle not only with their own values and beliefs but also with loyalty to friends and their own countries.

OMG. This story was SO exciting! The plot twists and turns. At one point, I suspected EVERYONE was out to hurt or kill the main characters, Iza and Volodya! I LOVED the ending. For sure, everyone on the Holiday list is getting a copy.

Behind The Typewriter

Joan Strobel

Joan Strobel is a chemical engineer with a lifelong interest in espionage and political-intrigue novels. She is an avid student of languages and a lover of the nuance of language. She’s fascinated by our abundance of idioms and slang expressions that can be a source of funny misunderstandings for the uninitiated foreigner. Joan thrives on action and adventure—she’s sky-dived, backpacked across the Brooks Range in Alaska, and has a first ascent of an Alaskan peak.

Joan’s novels provide a fresh take on the intrigue genre. Her books utilize actual events, people, and locales, because she believes that the more real a novel reads, the more spine-tingling it is. Joan lives with her husband, Mark, in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
